Shark Tank exclusive: Barbara Corcoran dishes on other Sharks’ tells
One Shark you should be very excited to see is Barbara Corcoran, who will be back for the second episode on Sunday in addition to many others this season. She’s unfortunately already gone from Dancing with the Stars, but let’s try not to think about that. She’s smart, hilarious, and an integral part of the show (we wish she was in every episode!). Luckily, she was also keen to size up some of her other Sharks when CarterMatt spoke to her at the recent season 9 premiere event at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills.
Barbara led off her discussion on the other Sharks by saying that “there’s a lot to be said for body language and they all have their tip-offs”; then, she opted to explain what some of these tells are.
For Mark Cuban – “When Mark [Cuban] hangs back very quietly, you know that he’s going to come in and [try to scoop] at the end.”
For Robert Herjavec – “When Robert Herjavec gets all excited about the product you know he’s going to pay anything for it.”
For Daymond John – “When Daymond John starts making fun of another Shark you know he’s interested.”
For Lori Greiner – “When Lori’s just sitting there, stone quiet, you know she’s going to come in and try to take the product.”
For herself – “When I’m sitting there and smiling with a glow in my eye at the handsome hunk on the set, you know I’ll pay anything.”
Okay, Barbara’s probably joking about the last one … probably. She didn’t offer up a tell on Mr. Wonderful Kevin O’Leary, but Kevin will be gone for part of this coming season, anyway, as he was running for Conservative Party leadership in Canada during some of production. (Don’t worry, you will still see him.)
Per ABC, here’s a taste of what you can see during Barbara’s episode Sunday, which will feature her plus Mark, Lori, Robert, and the aforementioned Rohan Oza:
“Entrepreneurs from Park City, Utah, and Burbank, California, have the ultimate survival kits to help get through the first 72 hours of an emergency; parents from Crested Butte, Colorado, were inspired by their son’s rare illness to create a thriving business that is disrupting the snack chip industry; an entrepreneur from Cary, North Carolina, has a unique way to engage kids with a wireless microphone that you can throw; and a recent college graduate from Hamilton, New York, designed an app that takes the guesswork and turbulence out of navigating big airports.”
