Chicago Fire season 6 episode 2 spoilers: Is a Severide love triangle forming?

Chicago Fire season 6 episode 2

One of the things with romance is that you never quite know when it hits you. On Chicago Fire season 6 episode 2, this is something you could see. Remember Stella’s feelings for Severide? They were there for much of season 5, but there was something about the relationship that he had with Anna that caused her to put them to the side. She saw something in their connection, and appreciated the level of care that he put into her. We also feel like this was something that she loved seeing out of him, even if she would prefer to see that level of caring with her.

Now that we’ve said all of this, there is something with newcomer Hope that is going to rub Stella the wrong way almost immediately, and you are going to see that play out on the next new episode of the show (among other things). Take a look at the synopsis below for some other details.

Chicago Fire season 6 episode 2 synopsis – “After learning the school fire wasn’t an accident, Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) turns up the pressure on Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Casey (Jesse Spenser) to investigate the cause of the fire that trapped his wife. Fueled by a competitive bet against Firehouse 87, Mouch (Christian Stolte) pushes all of the wrong buttons in his need to win the competitive challenge known as the firefighter muster. Meanwhile, as Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) settles into her new living arrangement, her unresolved feelings prompt her to question the intentions of newcomer Hope (guest star Eloise Mumford). Monica Raymund, Kara Killmer, David Eigenberg, Yuri Sadarov and Joe Minoso also star. Melissa Ponzio and Randy Flagler guest star.”

We at CarterMatt are excited about a number of different things over the course of the episode, whether it be the Stella / Severide drama or also seeing more of this new Mouch. We’ve seen him become more of a health nut ever since his health crisis … though at the same time he’s also shown a knack for taking advantage of Cruz in the wake of everything that transpired last season. This episode should give us a chance to see if this storyline sticks.

The new promo below gives you a better since of some of the potential love-triangle stuff that could be coming with Severide and Stella, especially given the fact that the two of them are now living together! On a more serious note, though, you’ve also got coming up a major story revolving around the school fire. Who set it, and could Donna be key to helping the firehouse figure this mystery out?
