Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 2 preview: How Riggs, Murtaugh move forward

After a long wait, are you looking to see Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 2 on the air as soon as possible! We certainly are, and the hard news is that we’re going to be waiting for a week now in order to see what is coming up on the show next. The premiere episode serves as a way in which to follow up the events of the first season; meanwhile, the story from here will better set up what is coming up next.

This episode coming up on October 3 will be a mixture of a few different things. For one, you’ll have a chance to see a little bit of fun courtesy of Riggs and Karen Palmer get involved in some friendly(?) competition. Who doesn’t want to see more Hialrie Burton on the show? Beyond that, this episode is also going to feature another prominent case, and some great personal stuff for Murtaugh. Take a look at the synopsis below for more.

Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 2 synopsis – “Riggs and Murtaugh respond to the death of a plastic surgeon, drawing them into a case involving an illegal drug ring run out of a wellness clinic. Things heat up when Palmer (guest star Hilarie Burton) from the DEA and Riggs compete to solve the case first. Meanwhile, Trish and Murtaugh face the emotional challenges of sending their first son, RJ, off to college.”

We actually do think that there is something to be said for a story about sending a son off to school on the show, mostly because of the fact that these stories don’t tend to happen all that much in a show’s run. More often than not to children on a show like this are often younger so that producers can keep them around longer. Seeing how this impacts Murtaugh could be pretty interesting just from the vantage point that it’s something that could weigh heavily on his mind. He used to have his son waiting for him at home alongside the rest of his family, and seeing him leave now is the beginning of a new and very different era. We’ll see how the show tackles that.

As for the promo below for Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 2, one of the most exciting things about it is the debut of Michelle Hurd of Blindspot fame as the new boss, someone who does have a history with one of our leads. This is going to be fun, no? Any chance to unnerve someone one of our main characters is something that we’re going to get behind.
