Madam Secretary season 4 episode 2 synopsis: Elizabeth’s trouble in Libya

Madam Secretary season 4 episode 2

It won’t be long now until Madam Secretary returns to our screens, but CBS is trying to make it as painless as possible by releasing the summary for Episode 2.

“Off the Record” – While Elizabeth is in Libya to help negotiate an end to their civil war, a tragic accident with her chauffeured car embroils her in an urgent situation to secure medical care for a gravely wounded local girl, on MADAM SECRETARY, Sunday, Oct. 15 (10:3011:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

It’s certainly going to be a great second episode and a great way to kickstart Season 4. While Elizabeth will be doing her thing and saving the world, the main issue of getting medical care for a young girl is the part we are most interested in. With this, fans will see the mother side of Elizabeth and how that side of her and her professional side will work together. We know she typically likes to keep her personal feelings out of work situations, but this may be a situation in which she is going to be challenged internally.

Will the need to save this young girl as if she were her own affect how Elizabeth handles the situation? It certainly could and would reveal more about who Tea Leoni’s character is both on and off the job.

It also has the possibility to remind her of her parents’ car accident and how she couldn’t save her parents. However, this time around Elizabeth has the power and authority to help this girl in need. She has always shown she is a kind-hearted person so add that with the memory of her parents and we are sure she will stop at nothing to save this young girl.

It’s also going to be great to see how she does this all with trying to negotiate the end of a civil war. Her mind will probably be in two different places at once, however, Elizabeth has proven that she can multi-task. The only difference this time around is that both situations are considered urgent. It’s definitely a new challenge for Elizabeth and one that we are happy the writers have written. Elizabeth needs to be challenge. She may be undecided at times as to what to do, but for the most part she always has an answer. So for a potential situation to put her outside her comfort zone, let’s just say that it is a big deal and it will be an interesting obstacle for her to conquer.

No matter what, we cannot wait for CBS’s Madam Secretary to return. We’ve already reported that Morgan Freeman is returning to directing the premiere, and will also guest star during the episode.

Madam Secretary returns October 8th on CBS. For more related news to Madam Secretary, be sure to link this link.
