Interested in the first Supernatural season 13 premiere photo? Well, we’re happy to present to you now the first image above!
This photo of Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles comes from the upcoming October episode entitled “Lost & Found,” which is going to serve as a proper reintroduction to some of these characters with the events of the finale in the rear-view mirror. Crowley is gone, and in his place lies a mysterious new ruler. Is he a villain, a hero, or someone in between? It’s hard to know, but the white outfit certainly suggests that this is some sort of angel of war ready to come at anyone who gets in his way. (Read more about the casting for this actor over at the link here.)
As per usual when thinking about the Winchesters, they are going to have quite a bit on their plate. Not only are we going to be seeing the two struggle with their direction without Castiel around, but they have the challenge of being parents … well, sort of. They will be spending some time in the premiere working with Lucifer’s son. Over the course of the season, one of the questions that is likely going to come out of this is pretty simple: Is there more than meets the eye with this character? Is he destined to be evil because of his father, or is there another way? The whole arrival of this character in the world is complicated, just as it is that this character is suddenly a grown adult.
Think of the premiere episode as an opportunity to get to know some of these characters a little bit more; however, there isn’t much of an indication as to how many episodes this character will be a part of. One of the things that we’re currently considering at CarterMatt is that Supernatural is probably going to give you these episodes mixed with some classic story-of-the-week hours. Will Misha Collins also be back at some point? You have to believe so, though there are questions aplenty regarding just how long he’s going to be gone and what form he will take when he does come back. We know little elements of the Supernatural season 13 story ahead, but we will say that in general terms, this is probably the most mysterious season of the show in quite some time. You know some of the castings and the characters, but very little in terms of how everything will come together story-wise. We do know for sure that we’re going to be seeing a Scooby-Doo crossover at some point, though, and we suppose that this idea in itself is certainly rather exciting.
