Is Insecure new tonight on HBO? Early season 3 hopes
What’s going to happen with Issa and Lawrence? Are they really done in terms of their relationship? There seemed to be a possible thinning of the ice (all thanks to one small move on social media) near the end of the episode, but there was no guarantee in the end that this would change anything.
Unfortunately, you’re going to be waiting for a rather long time still in order to learn the answer to Issa and Lawrence’s future … let alone what’s going on with Molly and everyone else on the show. There is no Insecure airing tonight on HBO, nor will there be until next year. It’s a little too early to say one way or another when the third season is going to premiere, though we did like how the show performed when it premiered in the summer as opposed to when it did in the fall. It did a good job generating viewership in this timeslot after Ballers, and we think that it gave the show a little bit more in the way of pop-culture clout. When you are as a series this good, one of the things you do want to ensure is that you find a way to continually deliver in terms of relevance, and having this spot on the schedule made it possible for the show to do that. It needs to be watched live, or at least close to live, rather than being caught up on years down the road.
So what do we want to see when the show does return? We’re keeping things simple at the moment and starting off with a simple desire to see more of Lawrence and what happens next for him. Beyond that, our wishlist also includes a better possible love interest for Issa than who she had during the second season of the show and also the greater expansion of the universe, potentially with more friends and family. There are so many stories left, after all, for Issa Rae to explore!
Do you wish that Insecure was new tonight, and what do you want to see transpire over the course of the third season of the show? Be sure to share now in the attached comments below right now!
