The Haves and the Have-Nots season 5 premiere date speculation

The most important thing that we can say in this article is that there will be a The Haves and the Have-Nots season 5 on OWN. The Tyler Perry-produced show has become a significant hit at the network, and has a devoted audience both in terms of viewers and social media.

So now that we at CarterMatt have laid all of that out there on the table, it’s now time to look more towards the future. When could the show actually return with new episodes? Luckily, this is a series that is a little easier to predict premiere dates for than the vast majority of the ones that are out there on cable. Unless there’s something crazy that happens between now and the new year, odds are that the show is going to be coming right back on the air in January with another batch of episodes. Suffice it to say, we’re very much stoked to bring you some more news on that once it is official!

For now, we would just say to mark your calendars for the first or second week in January, and know that OWN doesn’t have any plans to end the show in the near future. There is also zero reason for them to want to move away from this, given that they’ve been able to do something with The Haves and the Have-Nots that the majority of other networks only dream of. They’ve been able to launch a primetime drama series that is character-based, and be able to sell it without any of the frills or some of the silly stuff that you do tend to see from some other programs.

Did the show need a cliffhanger at the end of season 4? Probably not, but you gotta admit that what they came up with when it comes to Veronica was a pretty incredible way to send things off until the new year. That is an ending that is going to keep you guessing for a while, or at least starting up some feverish conversations all across social media.

For now, just take a deep breath, know that the series is going to come back, and start to speculate away as to what is coming up next. We’re sure that there will be a certain degree of pressure to top in season 5 what transpired over the course of season 4.
