The Sinner finale spoilers: First photo, tease of resolution
This is a notion that is confirmed even more so in one of the most matter-of-fact episode descriptions ever handed down: “Cora’s fate is determined in the Season Finale.” That’s all USA has released in advance here.
The photo above shows Cora sitting in the courtroom, waiting to know what transpires with her. By the time the finale airs, she will be more than likely far more privy to some of what is going on with her past, and also whether or not the murder of Frankie was the result of madness, a hidden motive, or some sort of additional trigger. It’s too bad that the court may not be as sympathetic one way or another to what she’s went through, and they may not understand. Her best hope is trying to find a way, one way or another, to get them to understand. That won’t be easy.
We expect a pretty open-and-shut conclusion to The Sinner in this episode, or at least as much of one as we are going to get. Remember that USA was billing this as a limited series from the jump.
One thing that does feel certain
The Sinner finale is going to deliver some big ratings for USA. The show’s been steadily gaining for much of the season, and the sixth episode delivered a season-high 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic alongside 1.84 million viewers. Anytime in this modern era of competition you are able to actually build an audience, you have to know that you’re doing something right! It’s rare, and it should be commended when you are able to pull it off.
