The Fosters season 5 episode 9 spoilers: Are Brandon & Grace at an end?
Well, the sneak peek for the summer finale (which you can check out below) makes it clear that there are some problems arising between the two thanks to her mother. She met Brandon last week on the show, and she wasn’t altogether happy with what she saw in between him. She seems to be so unhappy, in fact, that Grace could be confronted with a choice to either head back home and live with her, or risk losing a great deal of the support and backup that she’s had.
What’s going to become of the two? For now, things aren’t looking all that good and it does make you wonder more of who Brandon is ultimately meant to be with in the end? His relationship history has been fairly checkered as of late. He cared about Cortney, but wasn’t quite ready for everything that this relationship contained. He realizes, in turn, that being with Callie sets off all sorts of other problems. In some ways, the Brandon & Grace relationship felt like the one that was going to be the easiest given that they were two people around the same age, and with the same exact interests. Yet, this is the thing with young relationships — sometimes one little thing gets in the way and it becomes a bigger problem than it really is. This time, it could be Grace’s mother. The biggest issue that we have with this being the end of these two, (at least creatively) is that this character really seemed to just emerge out of nowhere and with no prior warning that something major was going down.
By the end of this episode, we do think we’ll have a good sense on if Brandon and Grace have a future, and in turn, just what else he could be up to in his life moving forward. She had given him a better sense of stability after the Juilliard disaster earlier this year, coupled with everything that is currently going on within her family. He’s had a rather-chaotic existence as of late, and being around Grace offered up the hope of some sort of tangible stability and a future doing something that he loved.
Unfortunately, you are probably going to have to wait a long time — think the new year, to be specific — in order to start to understand what the future of this couple is.
