NCIS: New Orleans season 4 premiere spoilers: Girls, The Good Wife alum to guest star
Think back to what happened at the end of season 3, when Agent Pride managed to finally stop Mayor Hamilton in his tracks. It was a pretty violent, bold move on his part, and while it may have been just in his mind, the rest of the NCIS isn’t going to be all too pleased with him. They’re going to make sure that someone else is monitoring the field office, and the arrival of Becky Ann Baker (Girls, The Good Wife) will help to shake things up a little bit more.
You can see the first photo of the NCIS: New Orleans season 4 premiere above; meanwhile, the synopsis below via CBS gives you a small sense of what the network is planning in terms of their overall story:
“While Pride remains on probation six weeks after his rogue takedown of the corrupt Mayor Hamilton, his team is closely monitored by Supervisory Special Agent Paula Boyd (Becky Ann Baker). Also, when the FBI arrives to run lead on a case involving a stolen big rig of nuclear waste, the team must secretly investigate from the sidelines.”
Here is what we do know based on that: The team isn’t exactly going to be playing things safe now just because of the fact that they have someone new around to look at some of their actions. They’re going to remain just as fast-and-loose with the rules as ever. You’ll get a chance to learn over the course of the premiere just what the team looks like with Pride in trouble, and also how badly they need him back. This should prove fun, mostly because it’s a chance to force some characters outside of their element. Anytime you’ve got a story like this, doing this sort of thing really should be the top-level goal. You want to keep finding ways to surprise your readers.
As for if NCIS: New Orleans is going to be able to match what they pulled off with the Mayor Hamilton story in terms of excitement, that remains to be seen; hopefully they view that as an opportunity to up their game.
