Is Power new tonight on Starz? Everything to know about season 4 finale
However, this plan changed late this past week. As you can read over at the link here, the network opted to move the final episode of the season to Sunday, September 3, meaning that there is no new episode tonight. Instead, you can take a look at a marathon of repeats today in the event that you fell behind, or you just want to re-watch some of the content that brought us to where we are right now in the story: With Jamie St. Patrick forced to deal with the shocking death of his daughter Raina, who was murdered by Ray Ray at the end of this past episode. Beyond that, we also definitely foresee Tariq struggling to deal with this for a long time, given that it was some of his own actions that effectively brought matters to this point. The sins of the father trickled down to the son, and the sins of the brother led to the death of the sister.
Back when Starz initially delayed the episode, our sentiment was that they did so due to both Game of Thrones airing its finale and also the presence of the VMAs over on MTV. Maybe that was the reasoning, but given all of the horrific flooding in Houston this does feel like an even wiser choice. There are more important things going on in this country than watching a mere television show, and we just hope that everyone out there is safe. There’s no real easy transition from talking about a serious event to a television show, but we do want to give you a few more teases of things to look out for when the finale does air.
1. How far are Ghost and Tommy willing to go in order to ensure that there is justice for Raina? We know that they’ve killed for less, but is there a fate worse than death?
2. Is anyone going to catch up with Dre soon? This is a guy who’s got his hands in the cookie jar and somehow, nobody’s really caught on to what he’s doing. The reality here is that both he and Kanan are both complicit in their own way to Raina’s death, since they were so much involved in the corruption of Tariq.
3. There are two things that we see happening with Tasha and Silver as a result of what’s going down with Tariq: Either this severs the relationship that they have (it’s hard to think sometimes in the midst of devastating grief), or this accelerates it to the point where Tasha is ready to leave Ghost for good.
