Who won the Veto in the Big Brother 19 house today? This was likely an intense competition, especially when you consider the conditions! A heat wave is coming through Southern California the next few days; the houseguests should just be happy that the Veto is not happening on Tuesday, given that it will be 104 degrees at around that time.
The Veto started a little earlier than usual this afternoon, and as a result of that, we did hope that it would be wrapped up a little bit sooner, as well. The only people not playing in it were Alex and Christmas, and by and large the plan here was straightforward: If either Matt/Raven win or someone takes one of them off, nominate Kevin as a replacement nominee. Matt’s the clear target for the time being.
The one situation that could prove interesting is if Matt wins and removes himself. Raven probably goes home, but at least there is a slightly more interesting debate that happens.
So who actually ended up winning the Veto? Spoilers ahead…
Jason won the Veto! That means that he’s won basically four out of the past six competitions when you include his HoH during his Double Eviction and the Veto last week. He’s now got a chance to control everything this week, which helps him to set up whether or not he wants Matt or Raven to go. Raven’s the one already nervous about what the future could hold for her.
For those wondering, this Veto was the ol’ hide-the-Veto competition that leads to the house getting completely trashed. This is the one that really gets everyone furious at each other, which is probably the point since you want there to be some good conflict in the house. This was also probably the right time to do something like this given that most of the action was taking place inside out of the heat.
The bad news for Jason is pretty darn simple: Because of what happened here, he’s now even more of a competition threat than he was previously. He was going to be the target had he or Alex not won this week, and almost certainly he’s going to be after pulling this out here.
