Killjoys season 3 finale spoilers: First details; ratings update
Are you ready for the Killjoys season 3 finale to be here? It’s coming on Syfy next week, and with it appears to be one of the biggest showdowns that we’ve had to see on the show as of late. This could be the culmination of a lot of big storytelling, and set the stage at the same time (potentially) for a huge fourth season of the show.
As with many of these articles that we write, let’s kick things off by sharing the official synopsis right now courtesy of the folks at Syfy.
Killjoys season 3 finale synopsis – “The Killjoy militia has everything they need to go to war, but as the battle begins, Aneela changes the entire game.”
Nothing about this surprises us given that we’re talking about someone who is perfectly incentivized to change things up. Why go the expected route in the midst of this much carnage? It’s predictable … and predictable is never all that much fun.
Of course, it’s fair to expect that the show is going to bring you so much more than this synopsis is letting on, but you’re not going to have a chance to get to know all of that right now.
What are the chances of a Killjoys season 4?
Much of that really comes down to what Syfy wants to do, but we can say with confidence that the show has done its part to secure its future. This past episode generated overall a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and around 620,000 viewers, which is around even with the show’s average for the season. In both measures, Killjoys is down less than 5% versus season 2.
What we’re trying to say here should be rather clear: Where’s the official renewal, Syfy? This is the sort of retention that the majority of networks out there would dream of year-to-year, especially since most shows these days are dropping more than 15% in key measures. You have to relish in the little victories, and this sort of retention is one of them.
