Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: Mark Jansen’s last stand (day 65, morning)

Mark Jansen

Today is the last day for Mark Jansen in the Big Brother 19 house; we wish it wasn’t the case, but he’s heading out the door. The personal trainer fought a good fight this week. He made pitches, tried to convince people like Alex and Jason, and really didn’t give up his fight at all. He played the game the way that we often like to see it, with logic rather than emotion and with concise, coherent arguments as to why he was worth keeping around. He didn’t get angry or emotional, and didn’t resort to any personal attacks. Big Brother is best when there is emotional (these are people fighting to win a million dollars), but when the game doesn’t turn overtly negative at the same time.

The unfortunate news in turn is that nobody in the house seemed all that interested in listening to what he had to say. Alex shut him down pretty quickly after he brought a campaign her way last night, and some other people have barely listened in the slightest. The problem once again is that he’s up against Matt and Raven, and even as a duo these two are considered more useless than Mark is on his own. It stinks for Mark, but that’s the way of things sometimes in this game.

What’s the saddest about Mark’s game is that by and large, he’s mostly spent the bulk of it being blamed for getting close to Cody — really, his failures have more to do with the words and actions of someone else rather than things that he did himself.

Anyway, we anticipate Mark having a classy exit and then getting to chill for a week in jury.

What’s the plan from here?

We know that the goal for Paul, Christmas, and Josh is to get rid of Jason next, and that could require either Paul or Josh winning the endurance – Head of Household tonight. Matt and Raven would probably go with whatever they are told, but it’s late in the game and it’s a little bit of a challenge at this point to trust almost anyone. If Alex or Jason win Head of Household, they will probably be pushed hard to take out either Matt or Raven — though Paul is clearly the one who is the most dangerous left and if everyone would compare notes, they would realize this.

We’ll preview the HoH Competition more a little bit later tonight, but you should know that it’s going to be endurance! Therefore, be sure to be standing by your computer or tablet tonight in order to check out what unfolds. If you’re unable to for whatever reason, rest assured that we’ll be giving you live updates on everything that’s happening precisely as we’re getting to see it play out.
