How NCIS, Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy stars watched eclipse
(That’s right — we not only had a ton of people out there taking pictures of the eclipse, but we also have pictures of people watching the eclipse! That’s how it rolls in 2017.)
Below, you can see a wide array of different performers getting a chance to take a break from filming to revel in the eclipse glory, whether it be NCIS star Pauley Perrette, Criminal Minds star Daniel Henney, much of the cast of CBS’ SWAT, Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams, or many others.
The value of the eclipse is one of those things that is pretty darn clear — it’s a uniting force! Think about how divisive and angry most of society is right now, where we spend the vast majority of time reading negative news or fighting with each other on social media. Something so rare and so cool — which is different than anything that you’re going to see in many years — is the sort of thing that brings people together. It makes everyone realize just how small we all really are for a moment, and that we’re all just people. Whether you’re an actor, a millionaire, a school-teacher, or a little kid, we’re all a part of this grand ecosystem living under the same star. It’s pretty cool stuff.
Oh, and of course it was a smart move for many shows and casts to get on board with the idea of watching the eclipse using the special glasses, given that it is a tremendous way to use current events to generate publicity for your show. It’s smart, and it’s also fun since people out there probably made so many cool memories today.
