When will first Chicago Fire season 6 promo hit web?
In a new post on his Twitter account, executive producer Derek Hass confirmed that there “soon” will be a new preview for the show out there, and that does work very much in line as to when such things tend to be released for other shows. If you are NBC, there are two reasons why you want to ensure that the promotion begins for the show sooner rather than later:
1. The new timeslot – For the first time Chicago Fire is regularly airing on a night other than Tuesdays — it’s moving over to Thursday nights! It will be airing there at 10:00 p.m. Eastern in hopes of trying to shore up a spot that has long given NBC some frustrations. We do feel like the ratings for season 6 will be down versus season 5, which is something that understandably comes about as a result of not airing after This Is Us. NBC shouldn’t really sweat that all that much — the only thing that they should really care about at the moment is whether or not the show fares better than The Blacklist did, and we feel confident that it will. This could be a spot that Firehouse 51 calls home for many years in the future.
2. Reminding everyone of the cliffhanger – Remember just how devastating that was for everyone? Well, we’re talking here about an ending that featured a wide array of characters in danger across the board — think in terms of Casey, Severide, Mouch, and Kannell all in varying degrees of danger. It is possible that someone in this group could be killed off … but it’s also possible that they could depart the show in some other way, as well. The big thing that you do need to remember here is that there are some other fates for people beyond death, and ways in which they can leave the show. Maybe they survive the cliffhanger and still wander off into the sunset.
No matter what, getting some more promotion out there for Chicago Fire season 6 is essential when it comes to getting people talking about the show, and getting every bit as excited as we are to have it back. We may not anticipate a preview giving too much in the way of spoilers away, but we’re excited to check it out nonetheless.
By the time September rolls around, let’s just say that we’d be shocked if there is not something more out there in terms of Chicago Fire promos.
