The Sinner episode 4 spoilers: How can there be a new suspect?

Sinner episode 4

As we move into The Sinner episode 4 airing on USA August 23, it’s clear that there are new questions coming around every corner. With that said, you have to wonder if answers are going to follow them. The show has done a good job so far of unlocking new clues and explaining that this is not an ordinary murder case. Cora is a woman drawn by a trigger to do terrible things, but the origin of these and some of her mysteries are going to lead to many others surfacing.

One of the primary things that you can expect to see within this upcoming episode is seeing if there is a way for Cora to discover more of what ails her — but it will somehow be even more complicated than you would imagine. The synopsis below officers up some further insight on that subject.

The Sinner episode 4 synopsis – “With Ambrose’s help, Cora struggles to recover missing memories, which lead Ambrose to a new suspect.”

Given that this is a short-run summer series, there is only so much time in which The Sinner is going to be able to keep some of its mysteries and twists at bay; with that, we would say to anticipate some revelations into why someone would want to do this to Cora. To go along with that further, another intriguing question is how complicit she was in making some of these decisions in the first place. The obvious assumption that we are making at the moment is that she was manipulated and forced into these unspeakable things, and this makes the most sense. Yet, what if she wanted to forget, and become numb to something in order to execute an act that she would not do otherwise?

Expect another tremendous performance from Jessica Biel and Bill Pullman in this hour — while much of the story may still exist under a cloud of uncertainty, we would argue that this is one of the things that you can rely on the most.

What about the promo?

In this, you get a clear sense of just how far Ambrose is willing to go in order to help Cora get some of those memories back, and it includes consulting people who specialize in such things as they figure out the truth for her. What she sees and knows right now is that she has little visions of something — a wallpaper and a masked figure — and that is all she knows of that missing time after the Fourth of July. Odds are, that’s going to change sooner rather than later.
