The Fosters season 5 episode 7 spoilers: Callie, Aaron get closer; Lena’s parents return

When The Fosters season 5 episode 7 airs on Freeform next week, one of the big priorities is seeing the latest for Callie and Aaron. Even though the two parties may have their friction (they even had some of that on tonight’s episode), we will see them start to get more involved in a deeper relationship.

Before saying too much more, let’s allow the synopsis below to be your guide there.

The Fosters season 5 episode 7 synopsis – “Lena’s parents are back in town for a visit, while Callie and Aaron get closer than ever before. Mariana tries to get closer to Logan, but it backfires when his girlfriend catches wind of it.”

We know that Aaron has shown a desire to take things fairly slow when it comes tot he relationship, so it is not entirely clear just what form we’re going to be seeing with the two of them just yet. The biggest thing that we know with some confidence is that we do enjoy watching the two parties as characters, and with that, any story that they get thrown into should be interesting.

What’s also interesting in its own way is how nothing within this synopsis necessarily reflects what we saw on season 5 episode 6 in terms of story. What we mean by that is that we don’t have any teases of the continuation of Stef’s case, of Cortney and Gabe getting together without Brandon knowing about it, or about Mariana in roller derby. We’re still surprised that Lena is even considering that after her daughter forged her signature to get to take part in the first place. The whole Mariana / Logan relationship has been obvious for a little while — at least from Mariana’s point of view. Seeing how Logan handles it, meanwhile, could still be interesting.

One of the last things that we can say here is that we’re in the home stretch now for the first half of season 5, and that’s a clear sign that things aren’t going to get any easier for some of these characters in the near future. We had a brief calm for some people earlier on this season, and we’re starting to inch ever closer to the storm.

Based on the promo below, this is going to be a powerful, exceptional story like we haven’t seen this season. If you love The Fosters and want to see something totally different than anything else on TV, you’ll love this through and through.
