Queen of the South season 2 episode 11 synopsis – “Teresa goes on the run from Camila, but after a violent showdown with some hired guns, she realizes that the time for running is over. Now it’s time for war.”
The great thing about the show getting to this point in terms of intensity right now is largely that it offers itself up a few episodes where it can really play around in this conflict and embrace some of the chaos. Maybe the show chooses to resolve things between Teresa and Camila this season, or use this as an epic cliffhanger to set the stage for a season 3 renewal.

Now, let’s talk the season 3 renewal
This was very much anticipated based on some of the ratings that we’ve seen over this season, especially since it’s only down about 3% versus season 1 in the 18-49 demographic. Even though it’s coming off of its lowest ratings of the season in a 0.3 in the 18-49 demographic, there’s not too much of a reason to worry about the show’s long-term future. Remember that it does have a great deal going for it, especially when you think about how little it is promoted outside of USA. There aren’t too many people beyond the network who may even be familiar with it, but that devoted fan-base does stick with it and that is something to be nurtured. With a fan base that strong, it’s easy to think that they will help to rally up new watchers.
If Queen of the South does keep going at the retention rate that it’s currently on, there is not much reason to think that it will be going anywhere. With the nature of this story, there are likely more crises for Teresa to run up against for many years to come. Obviously, there may be a part of you that wishes things would get a little bit more stable for her … but that’s not really the sort of show this is.
