Crime Dynamic Duos: Blindspot (Jane / Weller) vs. Criminal Minds (Reid / JJ)
There’s a lot to know and celebrate about both pairs, which is glad they’re both a part of the tournament this year! Unfortunately, only one will be moving forward.
Who moves on to the next round? That’s totally up to you! Check out the poll at the bottom of the article.
Voting Rules – You may vote however much you want within the specified voting window. (The image above explains everything in terms of start and stop dates.) Still with us? Let’s dive into this battle…
Jane and Weller, Blindspot (#3 seed) – The best way to describe the dynamic between the two of them is “intense,” and almost dangerously so at times. They love each other romantically, they love each other as partners at times, but they also push each other to the brink. They’ve went through so much and had so many secrets that their relationship feels like a high-wire act — which is probably why it is so exciting. With these two you almost have an action/mystery movie every week, and you’re so compelled by them thanks to the connection … and the knowledge that the bad guys would be completely stupid to even consider messing with them.
Reid and JJ, Criminal Minds (#6 seed) – We give these two a supreme amount of credit for the devotion and passion that they’ve shown for the job, and for helping each other over the years. Think about everything that has transpired since the start of the series, the characters who left, and what they’ve each went through. JJ was even gone for a time, but she returned. These two have a longstanding friendship that stems almost entirely out of the work that they’ve done — it’s come organically, and seeing them work together is now one of the greatest joys of the show. There’s something nostalgic and exciting that comes from it.
Now, let’s turn this over to you

Once more and again. There is nothing that stands out for JJ & Reid to be considered as a dynamic duo. They are more like an older version of “Buffy & Jody” from the old series, “Family Affair.” Obviously, JJ & Hotch, before they let go of the latter part of that component, was an excellent example of a dynamic duo. They were also beginning to have a closer relationship. No offense to Reid”s character. Remember “Tobias Hankel”? So much for that theory of those two (JJ & Reid) remotely being a dynamic duo.? Wheels up! ?

They’re my OTP so any attention they receive as a couple is pretty cool. I’ve written 19 stories for them (and working on two more), so you could say their ‘dynamic’ is perfect for me.
