Crime Dynamic Duos: Scorpion (Walter / Paige) vs. Blue Bloods (Danny / Baez)
In this edition of Crime Dynamic Duos, we’ve got another battle between notable TV crime-fighters — and this one should be especially fun. One of the shows featured is Scorpion, which features a lot of problem-solving coupled with hilarious geek antics. Meanwhile, the other in Blue Bloods is much darker and grittier, even if it also features characters who care about each other deeply. There’s the insular Reagan family, but then there’s the larger NYPD family around them.
Will Walter & Paige or Danny & Baez emerge as the champion, and move on to the next round? We’re excited to see what you think, and to dive into this subject in the paragraphs to come!
Who moves on to the next round? That’s totally up to you! Check out the poll at the bottom of the article.

Still with us? Let’s dive into this battle…
Walter & Paige, Scorpion (#4 seed) – They’re total opposites in so many ways, whether it be in terms of social skills or basic interests outside of the job. Yet, the two make for an optimal partnership given that when they’re operating on all cylinders, they compensate for each other’s weaknesses perfectly. In the case of Walter, you’ve got someone with super-high intellect who can save the world using math or science. With Paige, you have someone who gives him the tools necessary to make it to that point since he can often be abrasive in the field. Walter’s biggest enemy is himself, and Paige is the unsung hero often who gives him the confidence and abilities to dive into these missions successfully. Without her, he wouldn’t be in a position to save the world at all much of the time.
Danny & Baez, Blue Bloods (#5 seed) – They’re as supportive of a partnership as you’ll find in the crime-TV genre — they’re strong characters with their own opinions, but they know when to disagree and when to put disagreements aside. They’re excellent in the field, highly resourceful, and understand the gravity of their job … and that said job isn’t always easy. While Danny is usually the one who throws himself headfirst into cases, there have been times when the roles have been reversed. They may not be the flashiest duo in terms of getting headlines in this tournament, but as characters, they consistently excel at getting the job done.
