Teen Wolf season 6 spoilers: Jill Wagner’s return not one-off
Here is what we’re super-psyched to report today: This isn’t just some cameo appearance, and you will be seeing a good amount of Jill coming up. She’s playing a part in two episodes, and there is a larger purpose behind why she is back.
While, of course, you are not going to get much about the circumstances of Kate’s return in advance, showrunner Jeff Davis does tell Entertainment Weekly a little bit in terms of his planning strategy:
“Having Jill Wagner back for a couple episodes and seeing her having so much fun playing Kate again, it was really fun for us … It felt like a great way to do the last season of the show. We didn’t want it to be just a string of cameos, so we were always trying to go for more meaningful ways we could bring these characters back.”
This is a strategy that is reflected by Davis in what he is doing with the return of another prominent character in Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin), who made a brief appearance in the premiere and will be back later this season. He is connected to the future of Stiles at Quantico, as the FBI is considering him at the moment to be a dangerous serial killer. Whether or not Dylan O’Brien’s character is able to convince them otherwise remains to be seen, mostly because he’s going to have to be pretty darn persuasive to get them to turn some of their thoughts/feelings around on the subject of who this guy is without giving everything away. (Read more about Derek and his future over at the link here.)
Remember, there are some other cameos coming!
Don’t forget that at some point along the way in the final season, you will see returns from Colton Haynes and Charlie Carver — the length of their roles remains unclear, but consider their appearances Teen Wolf honoring its lengthy history on TV. Given that this show arguably had more cast turnover during its run than any other out there, you have to give Davis credit for getting as many people back as he did. We’re still a little bummed-out about not getting to see more from Crystal Reed and Arden Cho, but this is one of those shows where you just have to take whatever you can. (At least Reed had a chance to return on one occasion already.)

TWO episodes – wow! Does that include flashbacks? She was never a fan favorite and not worth watching this garbage to see her..
