Early Arrow season 7 news; Gorilla Grodd on Legends of Tomorrow
Sure, it’s true that there is not officially an order for Arrow season 7 at the moment, but such a thing feels almost like a formality when you think about where we are. The entire DC extended universe on the network is enormously popular, and there is zero evidence that it is going anywhere. So long as the audience remains present and the show high-quality, the writers and cast will most likely keep working. The fact that season 7 is already in development serves as further proof of that.
While at the TCA Summer Press Tour this week, show executive producer Marc Guggenheim said the following when it comes to what he and the team are thinking about:
“We’ve already started talking about [potential storylines] for season seven already. This is the earliest we’ve ever had an idea for a season that far ahead [of time], but it’s come out of our conversations about season six.”
What we know at the moment is that season 6 is going to feature more villains by committee as opposed to a singular Big Bad, and to go along with that further, there will be more of a family approach. Signs point to Oliver’s son William being more of a factor in the story this time than he was through the past couple of seasons.
Another The Flash villain heading to Legends of Tomorrow
Who is it this time? Think Gorilla Grodd! After the famous ape appeared in a two-part episode of The Flash season 3 that revolved around Gorilla City, he will be appearing in the third season of the spin-off — which overall will be more supernatural in nature than the first two seasons. Damien Darhk is going to be one of the main villains to go along with a prominent Vixen character, but beyond these two there is also going to be a mysterious force that the show is still being hush-hush about at the moment.
Grodd is by nature a powerful nature, and this may be the most advanced version of him that we’ve seen so far. The biggest issue that we still have with him is that the show’s budget hasn’t really enabled them to spend a lot of time on the character. The Gorilla City arc on The Flash felt like a letdown mostly because there was only so much that they could use the character with the limitations that they had. He was great when he was around, but he really wasn’t around all that much as a whole.
What do you want to see with these villains, and with Arrow moving forward?
