This Is Us season 2 poster revealed; full impressions
The poster, first posted via E! News, features all the major players showcasing them in happy and sad times, meaning that this season is going to be unforgettable.
On the poster, the characters are also grouped by their relationships including Jack and Rebecca, Kevin and Sophia, Toby and Kate, Randall and Beth, Tess, Annie, and William, and finally young Kevin, Kate, and Randall. In addition, the way the characters are seen in the poster could give fans a hint of what is to come.
Given this, it would appear that Kevin and Sophia and Jack and Rebecca will see some happy times during Season 2, especially since at the end of Season 1 both couples were hitting a rough patch in their relationships. Jack and Rebecca had their biggest fight when she confronted him about his drinking relapse and her feeling that he doesn’t love her for who she currently is.
For Kevin and Sophia, things are different. While they didn’t have a fight or anything like that, Kevin was on a mission to win his ex-wife and love back only to leave for Los Angeles after Ron Howard offered him a film role.
So it would be interesting to see how Jack and Rebecca will move on to happier times after their fight along with seeing how Kevin will win back Sophia once again, provided that all of this happens.
As for Toby and Kate it would appear that tough times are ahead for the couple. In the poster, fans will notice that Kate appears to be crying while Toby comforts her, leading us to wonder what could have brought this on. Could it be her opening up about her father’s death and her apparent involvement? It’s a possibility. Or could it be another problem altogether? Truthfully, we will have to wait until the fall.
Moving on to Beth and Randall. The poster shows the two in a calm state, either extremely happy or sad. They appear to be content and Beth has that hint of love on her face. So does this give us a hint at what Beth’s answer to Randall saying he wants to adopt? Maybe. It definitely would bring some interesting times ahead for the Pearson family.
The last two relationships showcased on the poster are perhaps the most intriguing. The first one involves Randall’s children, Annie and Tess with their late grandfather William. Even though William passed away in Season 1, it would appear as though the show is hinting that the girls’ relationship with their biological grandfather will have an effect on them. The absence of him now is probably hard for them to accept, but from the poster, it seems like they will remember the happy times with him and always keep that with them.
The second one is the young Pearson triplets. The siblings are shown as teenagers smiling. Their bond with each other is the glue within the show and their relationship with each other is what makes the whole story work. Season 2 looks like it will feature more of their teenage years and how it shaped their adult relationship.
Overall, Season 2 is set to tell its fans some great stories about one of the most intriguing and favorite families on television and we can’t wait for fall.
