Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: Are we getting too negative? Veto Ceremony

Raven drama

The Veto Ceremony took place on Monday afternoon in the Big Brother 19 house, and it effectively went as you would’ve expected. At the end of it, we saw Paul remove Jason from the block with the Power of Veto, which meant that Jessica and Cody are now the only nominees up for eviction.

The plan as it is right now for Paul is to hope that Jessica doesn’t use the Halting Hex, and then eliminate either eliminate her or her boyfriend from the game. We foresee her using it given that this is the move that makes the most sense for her since you don’t want to ever put your game completely in someone else’s hands, especially since these people burned you in the past.

One of the stranger post-Veto Ceremony events to happen today revolved around Jessica and Cody confronting Raven about some whispering that she was doing with Kevin and Jason, and things got tense for a minute or two as a result of that. They felt as though she was conspiring against them, and even though that wasn’t exactly accurate, it still did produce a little bit of chaos. Raven got emotional after the fact to Paul about it, and then there was much apologizing and explaining from many other people. Jessica called Raven “fake” when she left the room, but the two seem to be okay now.

Now, let’s get to the larger and even stranger subject: Paul, Matt, Christmas, Jason, and others conspiring to break Cody in hopes of making him snap. That was, Jessica realizes that he’s not good to keep around in the game. This may be one of our tipping points for the entire season as fun, given that there really aren’t that many people left who are all that likable.

With Raven, you’ve got someone who has zero substance. Same with Mark. Josh is great as comic relief but the pots and pans stopped being funny the first time he did it. Christmas still hasn’t emerged as the player we want her to be. Jason and Alex are moderately likable, but they haven’t really made moves that we can define as their own. Same goes for Elena. The idea of going after Cody’s military service is a really bad look for Paul. Jessica and Cody are underdogs and that’s great, but they’ve also done a terrible job of making friends in the game and Cody has a toxic social game. There are a ton of great characters on this season, but we’re starting to be at a loss as to who to root for. That will probably change in the weeks ahead, but we’re not in a good spot now.

One thing we’re sure of is that this is the cast that will probably not all hang out with each other after the season is over. After all, you’ve got multiple people who can’t even stand being in the same room with each other.
