Power season 4 episode 6 debate: How can Angela still investigate?

Power season 4 episode 6

Going into Power season 4 episode 6 airing on Starz Sunday night, it’s going to be pretty darn clear that life for one Angela Valdez is different. She doesn’t have her old job for the time being, and with that, she has little in terms of a leg to stand on. She can’t investigate or do anything in an official capacity, and if we know this character well, we know that staying silent will be difficult on her.

Angela, at this point, can see a trail of breadcrumbs on the ground. She’s going to be desperate to figure out where they lead.

So what can she do now to figure out what happened to Greg? While we’re mostly speculating, we do think that a key component to this will be her having to find either a new liaison who can investigate for her or her finding the means to do more off-the-books work herself, away from the watchful eye of other prosecutors.

On some level, maybe she realizes that Mike Sandoval is involved. She knows that he was reviewing records and that he was awfully quick to dismiss her findings; meanwhile, there is also still speculation on the mole working against the team. She’s a smart person, and there’s enough evidence to start making her suspicious of Mike. She needs to dig into his life and his communications, and that should prove difficult given that he’s been careful. If she can figure out where he was — or at least where he wasn’t — on the night of Greg’s death, this could prove to be rather helpful.

Could Jamie help her with this? Maybe not directly, since he doesn’t have all of the evidence on Sandoval, either. Yet, if there is someone who can show her a thing or two about running secret operations, it’s him. Granted, his participation in such a scheme with her would depend on a few different things.

1. How willing is he going to be to skirt around the rule of law after just getting himself out of prison?

2. Is Angela going to be making this move as a means to get closer to her former lover again? How big a component is that in her thinking? Meanwhile, will Ghost operate mostly because of latent feelings that he still has towards her?

3. How desperate is she to get justice for Greg? There may be ways to do this that don’t involve getting Jamie involved, and she may end up preferring that than getting looped in to anything that he’s got going on. We know already that James is not the barometer for moral behavior, and he could be more trouble than he’s worth once she gets in so deep.

One way or another, we know the investigation into the mole isn’t quite done. One of the big mysteries as we move forward is simply seeing how it manifests itself and when.
