Killjoys season 3 episode 6 spoilers: Johnny’s past; Dutch’s pain
When Killjoys season 3 episode 6 airs on Syfy next week, the name of the game is going to be the past coming back. Well, that’s at least the case for Johnny as he will find himself at the center of another key test. We’re always afraid of calling these sort of stories “fun” — it’s always fun for us to dive into backstory, but for the characters involved there could very well be a certain degree of peril and despair. That’s something that we’re excited to see unfold here, maybe because we’re sadistic and we like to watch people struggle. Really we just like good storytelling.
“Necropolis Now” is the title for this upcoming episode, which proves yet again that the Killjoys writers create references that are better than most of us out there in the internet universe. The official synopsis below, meanwhile, offers up a little bit more insight in the way of what’s coming.

We cannot say that we’re so sadistic that we want to see anyone go through their own sort of personal hell — even if it somehow ends up being different than what we would expect going into it. We’ll see what form it takes here in a week’s time.
The latest ratings
This is something that we always love to explore here at CarterMatt, and this time around is no exception.
The good news for those of you hoping for a season 4 renewal is that the ratings for the Killjoys are solid! This past episode generated a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and also 580,000 viewers (give or take). This is about average with the remainder of the season in the demo, while it’s down slightly in total viewers. None of that is really worrisome, given that the show is still down less than 10% in both key measures. If you’re a frequent reader of ours, you know our mantra when it comes to such things: If the year-to-year retention is great, there’s a very good chance that it is going to be coming back for another season. Syfy wants to know that they can rely on fans to keep watching.
