ABC formally released their full list of fall 2017 premiere dates on Monday night, and the biggest headline here is with Grey’s Anatomy season 14. The show is going to be starting off with two hours! This should prove to be a good way to set the foundation for the story to come … but also to get ABC some good ratings, given that this is their top-rated drama in the 18-49 demographic and total viewers.
As a whole, there’s nothing among the premiere dates that shock us all that much, given that Dancing with the Stars is airing early and many other shows are in their previously-announced time slots. If there is one thing that does have our hair standing on end, it is the move of The Toy Box to Sunday night in a timeslot that’s been held by America’s Funniest Home Videos longer than we can remember. (That show will eventually premiere in its familiar spot, but a little bit later in the fall.)

Unfortunately, there is no word at the moment regarding the premiere of Agents of SHIELD, though indications suggest that the show will come on the air in the place of Inhumans after that Marvel series comes off of the air. That date should be announced in the weeks/months to come. The biggest risk otherwise is moving Once Upon a Time to Fridays, especially in a spot where it is going to have a difficult time matching the performance of the comedies that aired in that spot a year ago.
