Blue Bloods season 8 spoilers: How’s this for an Erin Reagan tease?

Blue Bloods season 8

If you love Blue Bloods and you’ve watched for many years, you likely know already that one of the hardest things to do is to get some sort of substantial information on upcoming seasons of the show in advance.

With that, we are very much pleased to have something rather great for you today! In the post on Twitter HERE via Bridget Moynahan, you can see one of the first Erin Reagan dialogue teases from the new season. Obviously, she’s debating with someone, and that someone seems to be Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) unless there are three people in the room and she’s responding to someone else before Danny chimes in.

As for why someone would be threatening Erin, that’s not that hard to figure out. She works as a prosecutor, and there are few jobs out there that have this level of stakes or danger attached to them. She knows that there are people who would want to target her, and her job here is seemingly just figuring out a way to ensure that these said people don’t do anything to hurt her. Even if they aren’t as bit of a threat as this quote is letting on, it’s still smart to be proactive. The last thing that you want to do is be in a situation where you don’t take a threat too seriously, and all of a sudden you’re in a place where this comes back to bite you in epic and devastating fashion.

Of course, it’s also possible that we’re blowing this little line of dialogue far out of proportion, and we’re looking more at a situation here where this is the reaction to a joke or something else that’s petty. Out of context, words can mean almost anything!

What do we want to see for Erin Reagan?

That’s a subject that we’ve already written about rather extensively, and we would like to see her have some more great stories for her that are outside of her job and independent from the issues that she faces there.

As for what we know for sure about season 8, we know Danny’s house being burned down cannot be discounted. After all, this is one of the craziest things that we’ve ever seen transpire on this show, and Erin and the rest of the Reagan family will probably be lending a helping hand with that. We’re also going to have an opportunity to see more of Frank involved in a political back and forth with the new Mayor of New York, someone who has a very different background and skill set from the person who was there previously. The reason that matters is because of the fact that Frank at least was able to predict what Mayor Poole would do. This unsettles much of the dynamic that was previously in place.

Blue Bloods season 8 will premiere on CBS a little bit later in the fall. Just in case you have any specific thoughts and expectations, we want to hear them below!
