Code Black season 3 has its first table read

Code Black season 3

Earlier today Executive Producer and showrunner Michael Seitzman tweeted a picture of sign that read “Table Read” with an arrow pointing in the correct direction of the first read indicting that season 3 of Code Black is underway.

Fans of the CBS series should start to get excited because it won’t be long now before we could get some spoilers about the upcoming season. As previously mentioned, season 2 has set up season 3 for a lot of great storytelling, including foreshadowing some potential romances and a new direction for one of the doctors. It will also be intriguing to see what cases the doctors will have to deal with. And we know that most people do not watch the show because of the different patient cases that come to the hospital, but they do serve as a fun and entertaining backdrop to what the writers are trying to achieve in each episode.

With Seitzman tweeting that this is the first table read, fans should also be excited to see how they will kick season 3 off. Will it pick up not long after the closing scene of season 2? It’s a definite possibility. Season 2 didn’t end on a cliffhanger, instead it concluded quite calmly in that Leanne was going home to make breakfast for Ariel while Jesse introduced the new residents to Angels Memorial. By picking up not long after the closing scene of season 2, it would allow the writers to introduce season 3’s conflict in way that builds the anticipation.

The show did a great job of slowly building up the conflict during season 2 and we hope they continue this for season 3. We know that there will be plenty of drama that won’t disappoint, but for the time being, the cast and crew are the only ones who know specifics.

As fans know Moon Bloodgood is set to recur this season as Dr. Ethan Willis’s (Rob Lowe) new partner when he decides he wants to learn more about field medicine. Fans will also have watch to see if Dr. Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth) and Dr. Noa Kean (Emily Tyra)will become a couple, and how Leanne and Ariel will interact as a new family.
