Animal Kingdom season 2 episode 7 spoilers: Is Smurf’s ask too much?

Animal Kingdom season 2 episode 7

When Animal Kingdom season 2 episode 7 airs on TNT in just one week’s time, you’re going to have an installment entitled “Dig.” What are going to see? Well, think about this episode in terms of one major question: How far will some of these characters go in order to get what they want? Or, to be more specific, how far will they go to help Smurf? We know that she’s calculating and at times demanding, but is she too much so? Everyone has their limits, and she’s going to find hers as we start to see more of what she wants done to Javi.

As you would imagine with this show, though, this is only the tip of the drama iceberg, and there is a whole lot more to come. For more in the way of base details about the hour, we would suggest checking out everything that we’ve got below.

Animal Kingdom season 2 episode 7 synopsis – “The boys consider how far they’ll go to help Smurf (Ellen Barkin) eliminate Javi (Alex Meraz). Shaken by what’s happened, Nicky (Molly Gordon) and J (Finn Cole) get closer. Baz (Scott Speedman) shares new information with Pope (Shawn Hatosy) about Catherine’s disappearance.”

The preview below focuses a little bit more on some of the desperation and the pain that some of these characters are feeling — oh, and also Smurf being manipulative, a refusal to go through a deadly acting, and Smurf uttering what very well could be a mutated version of a Walter White line. The more that you hear her profess to some sort of inherent need for control, and the more that we think that she invariably isn’t going to get what she wants. Or, the more likely that it is that the character is going to die by the end of the series.

It’s in this spot that we typically discuss the latest episode ratings, but that’s a little bit difficult this time given that there was no new episode last week. Therefore, we’re finding ourselves with less to discuss here. Our biggest hope is that Animal Kingdom gets a season 3 renewal shortly after the season 2 finale airs; based on the ratings so far, we’ve got a lot of confidence that it will come back. TNT has, as a whole, done a pretty good job establishing a sort of stability with their shows. While there are no breakout smash hits at the moment, there are many solid performers that, week in and week out, are generating some pretty good numbers.

Now, your thoughts
