The Voice season 13: When will the Battle Rounds film?
If you head over to the link here, you can see a great resource where you can figure out where to get tickets to check out the Battle Rounds in action. You’ll get to see Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, and Blake Shelton in person as they work to guarantee that their teams are in the best position moving into the next round. Filming for these starts on Monday, August 6, and there will be more tapings on August 7, August 17, and then finally on August 18.
Here’s the funny thing — even though the Battle Rounds are our least-favorite part of the competition to watch, they’re probably not all that bad to see in-person. After all, these performances tape in a way where you get to see a ton of them within a single day, and there’s less of watching all of the packages with the mentors that draw on too long. This is mostly about the performers, the steals, and the drama that goes along with all of that. Also, depending on when you go, there’s less of the no-drama feeling when there is one coach with a steal left and you’re on the final battle. That’s one of the reasons why we’ve never been that stoked on this part of the competition.
For the record, the Blind Auditions are already filming, so the show’s getting everything in gear with that.
What’s intriguing about this season?
To us, one of the biggest things is that this is Miley’s second season on the show, and we’re curious to see what (if anything) that she learned from being a coach the first time, and if these are lessons that she implements this time with the people that she chooses and the songs that they perform on the show. For Hudson, there’s less of a need for an adjustment period given that she just won the British series and she can bring over much of her experience to this show. With that, she’s hardly a new coach in the way that some of the others have been over time.
