Bachelor in Paradise 4 filming over; Amanda Stanton in new rules

Bachelor in Paradise 4

Even though it may have just felt like filming resumed, but Bachelor in Paradise 4 is now done for the season. Not only that, but all of the contestants are now back from Mexico and getting back to their ordinary lives.

Why such a short production? There are some things to remember here. For one, production on this show rarely ever lasts a long time, and this time around, there was already a little bit of filming complete thanks to what happened before the Corinne Olympios – DeMario Jackson incident. What happened here will be addressed on the show, and following that, there were new rules established on the number of drinks consumed while on set.

In speaking about that rule, and also getting back to Paradise, cast member Amanda Stanton (returning after being there for the first few days of filming plus last season) said the following to TMZ:

“It was a really sped-up process, but it was like the same thing … We had two drinks per hour, we couldn’t drink until noon which sounds like normal in the real world but they are up so early, so…”

Stanton also made it clear that regardless of what happened with Jackson and Olympios, which led to an investigation that found no wrongdoing on the part of either party, she never felt concerned for her own safety while on set:

“I don’t know if anyone [asked for permission to have sex from rpoduction]. I know that you had to give consent. I feel very safe, that’s never been a question for me. I wouldn’t keep coming back — this is my third time around — so obviously I feel safe there.”

Amanda had a rocky outing on Bachelor in Paradise last season — she may have thought that she found true love courtesy of her relationship with Josh Murray, but it didn’t last and led to one of the messier breakups that we’ve seen with this franchise over the years. We hope that she finds happiness, much in the way that we hope everyone finds happiness. It just takes up far too much emotional energy to be bitter and nasty towards the people who go on this show — it’s not something that we understand, and it’s probably not something that we’ll ever understand.

For the time being, there is no firm premiere date for Bachelor in Paradise 4 thanks to all of the production changes, but we imagine one will be announced soon. After all, Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette is getting close to wrapping up on ABC — she’ll be down to her final four after Monday night, and then there are hometown dates, overnights, the finale, After the Final Rose, and of course the Men Tell All special.
