Power season 4 spoilers: The drama for Tommy and LaKeisha ahead

On this past episode of Power season 4, what we saw between Tommy and LaKeisha is something that could make for very interesting drama to come. These are two characters who were not romantically intertwined, and now that they are, what it means is that several relationships around then could start to unravel.

For one, how exactly would Tasha feel about her best friend hooking up with someone like Tommy who’s been such a longtime ally of Ghost’s, even to the point of him being considered family? Well, it may not be great. This is something that La La Anthony described further to TVLine, and explained that the complicated nature of the LaKeisha / Tasha friendship could make things so much more difficult for them if this secret comes out:

“It wouldn’t be good … Because they are best friends, but their friendship is very complicated, as well. LaKeisha always feels like, ‘Why her and not me? Why does she have this life, and why am I struggling and not have the things that she has?’ It makes for a very toxic, loving, complicated friendship.”

While we would understand Tasha having a problem with the relationship, at the same time we do also think that Tasha’s got a million other issues to deal with — and many of those are so much more complicated than what is going on at the moment with Tommy. Take, for example, her husband being behind bars, and how difficult it is going to be in order to get him out of that situation. There aren’t exactly a whole lot of people on his side other than Tasha and Tommy, and then there’s the whole issue of Mike Sandoval out there trying to make things all the more difficult for them.

One other distraction? Tariq, one of the most important people in Tasha’s life, going doing a dark road and being under the influence as someone as questionable as Kanan. She doesn’t know the full extent of what is going on there, but that has to be her primary focus for the foreseeable future. The longer that this relationship sticks around, the more trouble that it is going to be for Tasha down the line. How do extract Tariq from this, and get him to see the error of his ways? With Ghost behind bars, it’s pretty hard for her to lean on him for anything right now, just as it’s hard for him to be a worthy father figure in any way.
