Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: Christmas seemingly breaks her foot (day 13, morning)

Christmas breaks her foot

Just in case things in the Big Brother 19 house were not crazy enough this week, Christmas broke her foot apparently Monday morning.

Christmas suffered an injury at some point seemingly while the feeds were down and away from her — when they came back, she was in the backyard asking that production come and look at her after the injury. Given that she is someone who knows her body extremely well thanks to all of the training that she’s done over the years, we’re inclined to believe her when she claims that she has some sort of serious injury. We also don’t think she’d be the sort to fake one for attention, though it’s true that this is the sort of thing that could easily keep her safe if she’s on the block — people were already planning to keep her anyway, but this may push that over the top for the remainder of the week.

We do typically only do live feed updates in the morning or evening, but we’ll come back with another update later today when something more is known on the subject of her condition.

Alas, it’s FAR too early to know what’s going to happen to her as a result of this said injury, given that it could easily be the sort of thing that does cause her to have to leave the game if it’s serious enough. We have also seen people continue to play with injuries, such as Jon Pardy on Big Brother Canada. On Survivor, we even saw Tyson Apostol win the game with a serious shoulder injury. The one thing that does make this a little bit of a different situation for Christmas given that much of her work is about her body and being in good shape. She may not recover there.

Update (July 1, 2:40 p.m. Big Brother Time)

Christmas is back in the house! You can read more about the state of her injury over at the link here.

Other updates from last night

It was a fairly quiet night by most standards, with the remaining players mostly trying to just cement trust after Cody’s disastrous decision to nominate Paul even though nobody wanted to send him home. We get the sense now that even if he didn’t have the Pendant of Protection, he would’ve been able to stay over Jillian. Granted, it’s hard to know for sure since we’re not actually seeing anything play out in real-time there. Paul and Mark worked to further mend fences, and apparently Josh is starting to creep people out in a way that’s far from great. (Let’s just say that people are uncomfortable with him in the house right now.)

The latest ratings

Sunday’s episode drew a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which is down from Thursday’s episode — no surprise, given that the Sunday episodes tend to be lower-rated than the rest. The ratings are so far down a little bit versus season 18, but it’s also early and some of the drama going on right now could turn that around.
