Zoo season 3 spoilers: Will Mitch and Jamie finally be together?

It’s no secret that fans of Zoo have been rallying for Mitch and Jamie to be romantically involved. They have had a lot of stumbles along the way to becoming a couple which makes some sense since this has been a world filled with a serious amount of obstacles: Animal attacks against humans, the sterilization problem, and now the hybrids. There’s just so much going on that romance has to take a back seat for a lot of people on this show, but Abe and Dariela have found a way to make it work, as has Jackson, so why has it been so hard for Jamie and Mitch?

We’ve watched Mitch hook up with his ex-stepmother (which was really awkward for all of us to watch including Jamie) and even though this was a one time time, thing didn’t really help anything. We also watched Logan show up and pursued Jamie quite hard for a long time and even though she hit him with a tranquilizer dart and kick him out of a plane we learned this season that in the ten years that have passed they actually ended up dating. We also had a period of time where Jamie was battling some severe PTSD during season 2 after she was left to fend for herself (and eventually had Logan’s “help”) and by the time she got back to the plane and saw Mitch she was not in any head space to be able to formulate any kind of romantic relationship with anyone as much as she still loved Mitch.

Now in season 3 we know that Jamie had been looking for Mitch for years and finally came to the conclusion that he was indeed dead giving up the search. In that time, we know that she had some sort of relationship with Logan, but that they’re no longer together and she seems to be single at this point. We also know that Mitch has been in some sort of isolation tank that’s been keeping him alive for the past 10 years and his only thoughts have been of being with Jamie and those thoughts have kept him alive all these years.

Mitch is out of the tank now, but he’s still having a hard time communicating. He hasn’t really spoken except a few words to a woman claiming to be his daughter Clementine. Another woman also claiming to be Clementine is on board the plane with Jamie and has convinced  her that Mitch is alive, so Jamie is flying with this Clementine to go and save him. We still don’t know which Clementine is the real, but that’s a story for another article right now we want to talk about Mitch and Jamie and if they’re actually going to be together on this season of Zoo… and with that we have a look at the above photo that is giving us Jamie and Mitch shippers a lot of hope for the future.

We have a picture from the Thursday, July 20th episode of Zoo and it’s of Mitch and Jamie in an intimate embrace and looks like that they could have either just kissed or are going to kiss. We haven’t had a lot of romantic physical relationship between Mitch and Jamie at this point as they really only shared a kiss. In the premiere we saw Mitch having a fantasy about them being in a cabin in the woods together, but that’s just in his head. This season we really want to see their physical relationship taken to the next level and this photo gives us a lot of hope that the show is ready to take that leap with these two characters.
