Is a Dancing with the Stars – Rachel Lindsay pairing inevitable?

Even though it may be some time before castings are official, is a Dancing with the Stars – Rachel Lindsay gig happening? As of right now, it feels like a match made in heaven for the ABC show.

Of course, the big reason that so many will lobby for Lindsay getting the gig is the recent backlash about the lack of Bachelorette stars getting to take part in the dance competition. Kaitlyn Bristowe earlier this year voiced some of her concerns in a public forum, and she’s certainly gotten the support of other leads over the years. Trista Sutter was the last star of the show to get that gig, and that was back in the first season of the reality juggernaut. In other words, that was a really long time ago.

While there would be a certain degree of justice that would come from Rachel getting the gig just for the sake of getting it, we also don’t quite think that is the only reason that she’s worthy for the job. She’s also very entertaining in her own right, and there is only a certain degree of that personality that comes through on the ABC show. Have you seen some of her live-tweets? They are probably some of the best for any of the live-tweets that we’ve seen from either The Bachelor or The Bachelorette over the years. Rachel would bring a sense of fun to the show, and a good bit of relatability to go along with it. Before getting cast on the show, she was mostly just known as an attorney in Dallas. There’s something great about having a person on the show who is fairly normal, and will still feel star-struck and grateful about being there.

If we were thinking already about what sort of partner would be great for Rachel, we’d love to see her with someone like Artem Chigvintsev who deserves a Star who he could go far into the show with. Also, we think that they’d have a good energy to bounce off each other.

Alas, you are going to be waiting for a while to learn who the next Dancing with the Stars cast — think late August or early September at the earliest.
