MasterChef season 8 episode 6: Gordon Ramsay confronts Jennifer — why?

MasterChef season 8 episode 6

Based on the preview that aired tonight for MasterChef season 8 episode 6 on Fox next week, we are absolutely in for a heck of a wild ride.

The first thing to note here is that Gordon Ramsay will be in the midst of a confrontation with one contestant in Jennifer. Why? It seems simply related to the quality of her food and not because she “pulled a Mark” and said something that he didn’t quite like. Then again, it’s possible that this is all some more shrewd editing on the part of Fox deliberately trying to cause us to slip up and not know precisely what in the world is going on.

Beyond this incident, we know that one of the challenges involves a Gordon master class based on lamb, a dish that he knows very well and will probably challenge the chefs on given that this is a rather difficult protein to do correctly. this sounds a little similar to the scrambled eggs challenge tonight when it comes to variation, but maybe it will have some more creative flexibility to it — we certainly hope so.

Now, let’s raise another important question: Who is the favorite to win the competition? After tonight, Jason has to be up there on the list along with the likes of Brien, Yachecia, and Dino. While the latter two struggled at first with the eggs, they’ve got so far the story of people who could go a long way and have both shined at some other points in the competition.

As for the person we want to see rise more to the occasion, it has to be someone like Sam given that we know he’s got the potential to be really great if he can get some of his nerves and time management issues under control. He’s been on the cusp of elimination twice, but he’s still there! Hopefully, third time is the charm for him. (Beyond just the eliminations, we do hope that there is an unpredictability to the next several weeks, and we don’t just get rid of the home cooks we’ve barely seen much of the season.)
