Once Upon a Time season 7 premiere title: About ‘Hyperion Heights’
For one, why go with something so obscure when you have a show that is reinventing itself with many new cast members? Well, there may be more here than it seems, and we’re not (alas) talking about a reference to the Borderlands video games.
This title, as noted by TVLine, could be a reference to the new town that serves as the show’s new central location. The setting is not going to be Storybrooke anymore, and Hyperion Heights could be where the older version of Henry resides — or where some other characters find themselves. (If you recall, Regina, Captain Hook, and Rumpelstiltskin are the three characters who are returning to the show this season in a permanent capacity — Emma Swan will be featured presumably in the premiere, but that could be it.)
There is also a natural Disney connection to the name, one that dates back many decades. The title is both nostalgia and forward-thinking at the same time — a smart choice for a show that still has a deep Disney heart.
Now, the question is whether or not it can live up to that heart when it comes to the story. While we know that there are many people out there down on the concept of a reboot — which we certainly do get — we do think that Horowitz and company have earned some good faith given that without them, there wouldn’t be much in the way of a show in the first place. We’ll give this a chance and see precisely how it works in the end.
Now that we know this, one of the big questions that we do have coming up is what sort of new characters we will see. Presumably, there are more characters with connections to the Disney universe coming along.
