Ratings: Shadowhunters, Stitchers, and Fear the Walking Dead

Shadowhunters

In this ratings update we’ve got the latest totals from three cable shows in Shadowhunters, Stitchers, and Fear the Walking Dead. How are they performing? Look below for more of the latest updates on the subject.

Of course, one of the things to remember before diving into this update is that all the numbers listed are live+same day, and we firmly expect all of these shows to post some big gains once some of the DVR figures first come out.

Shadowhunters – Let’s kick things off with the Freeform hit, which tends to often trend on social media despite not having the largest U.S. audience out of anything on the network. The show on Monday generated in total a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and then also over 650,000 viewers. These are the best numbers for the show since the summer premiere at the start of the month. They are also close to the overall average for season 2, which drew slightly better ratings when it first got started back in January.

Stitchers – Did the positive momentum stick around for the procedural after Shadowhunters? You’d hope to see it, and there is some good news to report. With a 0.1 rating, the show stuck around where it was for last week; meanwhile, it ended up drawing over 380,000 viewers, which was its best total since the start of the month, as well! As a whole, Shadowhunters is actually about even in viewers to where it was last season, even if it’s down slightly in the demo. (It does have the support of a good lead-in this summer, and that is helping its cause.)

Of these three shows, Stitchers is the only one not officially renewed for another season.

Fear the Walking Dead – Finally, let’s turn to the zombie series, which has been in free-fall mode roughly since the series premiere aired on AMC. This week, there is good news! (Isn’t this such a happy article today?) The show generated a small improvement in posting a 1.0 rating in the demo and then also 2.5 million viewers. While it has performed better multiple times this better, any episode where Fear the Walking Dead either retains the entire viewership of the week before or grows is one to be celebrated.
