The Bachelorette spoilers: Watch Lee Garrett, Kenny King’s confrontation

Going into Monday’s The Bachelorette, it is clear that Lee Garrett and Kenny King were going to have some issues. Needless to say – those issues are coming home to roost.

In the sneak peek below (via ABC News), Kenny confronts Lee about some of his latest gossiping in the house and to Rachel Lindsay, aggrandizing their past conflicts to make them out to be far worse than they were. Lee may be a toolbox, but he’s unfortunately also a rather manipulative one. He’s good at getting Rachel on his side and believing his side of the story. Part of the blame there is on Kenny (seemingly a nice guy) for losing his cool, and part of it’s also on the other guys for being too low-key on Lee’s shenanigans. He’s the snake in the house (as we have one every season), deliberately stirring things up and turning on people in order to make himself look better.

If you watch Big Brother, you may be familiar with the Saboteur in season 12 who was there to mess with people’s games. Lee is almost the saboteur of this season — he’s gotta know that he has almost no shot of winning, and he therefore seems fine with spending his time torpedoing other contenders’ chances of winning. Given his history of making offensive comments on social media, we’re also not altogether sure that he wants to be with Rachel in the first place. Maybe he just thought that he could get some sort of villain persona that would lead to him getting onto other shows. Not gonna happen.

If you think that this preview and this confrontation are awkward, remember two things: There is still a two-on-one date coming featuring these two guys (as if two on one dates weren’t bad enough), and there is also a Men Tell All special coming at some point. While Lee’s social-media history may be a sore spot for production given that this is really something that they should have been aware of before filming began, they really have to address it there. The larger question we have is whether or not Lee is going to turn up to face Rachel and the rest of her guys.
