Fuller House season 3 premiere date revealed by Candace Cameron Bure
In a post on Instagram, Bure confirmed that new episodes of the show will start streaming on Netflix on Friday, September 22. This is an especially important date when you consider some of the historical implications that are here. This marks the 30th anniversary of the original Full House series, and it may also be a very strategic move on the part of the streaming provider to connect the anniversary with the premiere date.
Let’s put it this way: The fall season proper begins on September 25. In putting the first nine episodes of season 3 online on September 22, that gives fans a chance to check out all of the new episodes without getting inundated with too many shows. Granted, they will have to binge to get through it all before the main fall season kicks off — but isn’t that really what Netflix is for?
This is not the first comedy series from Netflix to get this sort of split-season airing, as we’ve already seen the provider go this route with their Ashton Kutcher series The Ranch. The biggest merit to airing the show in this sort of manner is that it does help to further enable them to give you episodes without as long of a hiatus, which is important for a comedy that relies very much on familiarity. While we don’t think that Netflix is going to ever adopt a weekly model of releasing episodes similar to most major networks, this is as close as they are probably going to get. Fuller House season 2 was reportedly not the ratings dynamo that the first season was for Netflix, but it still received its fair share of attention. Remember, there were claims that the first season of Fuller House was watched more than almost any other comedy on television — Netflix doesn’t release data on their own, so these type of grandiose claims are hard to verify.
