Pretty Little Liars series finale: Vanessa Ray will be back once more
In the sneak peek below, for example, you can see the some of the history with Charlotte and Archer, further cementing that she continued to hold way more information than she ever let the Liars in on before her death. Her relationship with him is very important to where he was in the present with Ali … but perhaps most important here is who Charlotte is speaking to on the phone. Typically with this show, we are seeing things from some character’s point of view … but who is it here? Given that both Charlotte and Archer are dead, you cannot quite say that this preview is a window into either one of their souls. It has to be someone else who is telling the story, and it could be the mystery person on the phone.
We don’t know anything about who this person is based on this one conversation, but there is one clear assumption that you can draw: They are speaking with Charlotte about a woman, given that she states “is she here?” at one point.
As for who else is returning for the Pretty Little Liars series finale, all signs point to getting another appearance from Melissa Hastings, and we feel like most of the living parents are going to be a part of the story somehow. Here’s to hoping for some sort of in-depth explanation as to how in the world all of the moms managed to escape that basement. Clearly, this is the biggest mystery to date in the history of the entire Pretty Little Liars series and needs a thorough conclusion!
One last random thing that we will say here is that the producers really did a great job of casting both Sasha Pieterse as Ali and Ray as Charlotte, given that the two really do look similar! You can see this effectively in both their eyes and their smiles.
