Psych: The Movie spoilers: Who’s ready for a Gus love interest?
Today, we do come bearing a little bit more news confirming that Gus will, in fact, have a love interest this time around … one that will hopefully go a little bit better for him.
According to a new report from TVLine, Jazmyn Simon of Ballers is going to be appearing in Psych: The Movie airing this holiday season as someone who may be both the woman of Gus’ dreams and also his “worst nightmare.” It’s a fun role, and we’re down for anything that ends up putting Mr. Guster through his paces. Simon also has a personal connection already to Dule Hill in that he also worked on Ballers … oh, and the two are engaged in real life.
This movie is currently filming up in Vancouver, and the cast of the original series is all set to turn up in some shape or form. (We continue to send more well-wishes to Timothy Omundson, one of our favorite actors from any show, as he recovers from a stroke.) There is no official premiere date yet, but you know that once there is we’ll be on that faster than Gus is a food truck in Santa Barbara. This movie is coming about after a supreme amount of enthusiasm from fans, especially in a time where we all need reasons to smile. While this show had some dramatic moments, it may have also been consistent fun in a way that very few shows are in 2017. It’s a breath of fresh air and a chance to feel a little nostalgic at the same time.
