American Horror Story actor Finn Wittrock joining American Crime Story season 2
According to a new report coming in from Entertainment Weekly, you will have a chance to see Wittrock coming aboard the second season of the FX anthology series in the role of Jeff Trail. He was a friend of serial killer Andrew Cunanan (Darren Criss), but unfortunately, he also ends up becoming his first victim. Cunanan is eventually responsible for the death of Gianni Versace, played here by Edgar Ramirez, and the cast also includes Penelope Cruz and Ricky Martin. Max Greenfield of New Girl fame is also going to be making a guest appearance over the season.
Wittrock is best known for playing Dandy Mott on American Horror Story: Freak Show, but he has made appearances on other seasons of the show. Aside from the franchise, some of his other credits include Masters of Sex, The Big Short, and La La Land. He’s got a nice array of different movies and television shows under his belt, and the past few years have been exceptional for him.
If you missed the news, FX is shifting things around when it comes to their schedule for American Crime Story. At first, Katrina: American Crime Story was going to be season 2, but it has since been delayed. The Assassination of Gianni Versace will now air earlier in 2018, while Katrina will follow it at some point down the road. These two shows both come with enormous expectations, given that Murphy has to figure out the right way in order to match the fantastic The People v. OJ Simpson. What is working for him is that he is following up that season with another fascinating case, and one that was the subject of national attention; yet, it’s also very different than the OJ case and that is something that could work out rather well for him.
