Pretty Little Liars series finale aftershow to feature Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, more

The Pretty Little Liars series finale is set to air a week from Tuesday, and with that, Freeform is going all out to send it off into the sunset.

Today, Freeform confirmed that following the series finale at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, there is going to be a special aftershow featuring the five female stars of the show and creator Marlene King to discuss further everything that transpired. The press release below offers up some more insight:

“Seven seasons of secrets come tumbling out in the two-hour series finale of Freeform’s hit original series “Pretty Little Liars,” airing TUESDAY, JUNE 27 (8:00 – 10:01 p.m. EDT). Immediately following the finale, stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse, as well as executive producer I. Marlene King, will sit down for an hour-long unbarred and uncensored tell-all after-show to discuss all of the series’ tightly held secrets, behind-the-scenes insights, and top moments. Fans can catch up on all of the drama with an all-day marathon of season seven starting at 11:00 a.m. EDT and running up to the two-hour series finale at 8:00 p.m. EDT.”

In basic terms, Freeform is getting set to have this Pretty Little Liars series finale bee a three-hour event, which does make some sense when you remember that this is the last time ever that they are going to be able to capitalize off of it coming on the air. With that in mind, wouldn’t you want to also capitalize on it for everything that you possibly could? It does seem, all things considered, like the right thing to do since you’re never going to be able to have this show on the air again.

As for what the main subjects for this series finale aftershow will be, it’s not all that difficult to figure out: The big reveal of A.D., and to go along with that further, the path that got us to this point and some of the clues that were along the way. More than likely, there are also going to be some opportunities to learn a little bit more regarding Charlotte’s killer, and some of the more challenging story decisions that came about over the series’ run.
