For all fans of Outlander season 3, know that it’s official: Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan are done for the season!
In a new post on Twitter (see below), the two cast members posted a series of rather fun photos (check out one below) as they celebrated making it to the end of the season in South Africa. Apparently, this is a party that included some beers, a pool, and a sunset, which seems to be very much one of the coolest parties imaginable. (To think, this isn’t even the official wrap party, which is probably going on into the wee hours of the morning — as most wrap parties do.)
Now, the entire cast has an opportunity to move forward to what’s going to be coming up down the line for them. For Sam and Caitriona, a big part of that may be a combination of relaxing and taking on summer projects before the season 3 press tour begins. Heughan’s doing a movie, for example, with Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon. There’ll likely be some reunions here and there between now and the premiere in September, so be on the lookout for that.
Above all else, everyone deserves a little bit of a break; here’s to hoping they enjoy theirs!

One other place to see Sam
If you haven’t heard from his social media, Heughan will be doing a Q&A session tomorrow morning from the Roark Gyms Facebook account. The stream will begin around 11:30 a.m. Central African time, which is one hour ahead of time in much of the UK. For those of you in Scotland, it should take place at about 11:30 in the morning, whereas for those of you on the East Coast of America, it’s at 5:30 a.m.! That’s probably still better than here where the time is a ghastly 2:30 a.m. on the West Coast. Suffice it to say, this may be a tough one to cover live.
