Real Housewives of Atlanta season 10: NeNe Leakes returning officially
With that said, there are a few things about this deal that are a tad more complicated than they would at first seem. According to a report from TMZ, Leakes will be making recurring appearances over the season, and will not be a full-time cast member. the main reason for that can be traced to her desire to continue pursuing a wide array of different things beyond just appearing on the show, including her interest in her clothing line and other potential appearances.
Even if she’s just an occasional player in the show, this is nonetheless a huge win for Bravo given that it ensures further that nostalgic viewers of the franchise’s earlier days will tune in. Kim Zolciak and NeNe are going to be a part of the first season together in years, and having them around should help to make up for Phaedra Parks, who is departing after admitting to starting an untrue rumor about Prosha Williams and Kandi Burruss that was all sorts of hurtful and wrong.
New episodes of the show will premiere later in the fall, and for NeNe, we figure that there will be opportunities to learn a whole lot more about her personal life and her career since last being on the show. Hopefully, her presence is also going to serve to allow the show to move even further away from the Porsha / Kandi scandal, which drew massive headlines when it first was featured on the recent reunion show. This is a show in desperate need to move on to some other topics, and the presence of NeNe will further allow them to do just that.
With that, there’s of course the potential for another big scandal to erupt on the show; the big difference, and the key hope, is very much that this one is not going to be anywhere near as controversial as the one that just unfolded.
