Suits season 7 notes: Premiere title; ATX TV Festival info
The first thing that is worth noting here is that if you’re going to be at the ATX TV Festival Sunday at 12:00 Central time, you may be able to enjoy a live table read of the pilot featuring some of the cast! There is also a Q&A session that is happening. Based on the tweet below, it’s also going to be streaming on Facebook Live for those of you who can’t make it to see Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, and the rest of the cast in action.
Hopefully, there will be a little bit of season 7 news spilled along the way. To date, one of the big differences here is simply that you’ve got a new main cast member in Dule Hill on board — one of the first times there’s been a major cast addition to the show from the very beginning. (A spot seemingly opened up following the departure of Gina Torres last season.)
Of course, we could make a wishlist for what we want for season 7, but we figure that it’d be mostly like everyone else’s, including that Donna and Harvey should get together and Louis Litt should finally get some stable happiness in his life. (Maybe it’s possible that Tara does somehow find a way to re-enter the series down the road? Let’s hope!)
Beyond all of this, here’s a tiny piece of episode-title scoop via show creator Aaron Korsh: The title for the premiere is (for now) “Skin in the Game.” Korsh also teased that Donna and Mike should have a big scene together. With him back around the firm again, the show will get some of that familiar feeling back; yet, it’s clearly a very different Mike than it once was, and that experience will inform him and continue to shape the world around him.
Hopefully, at some point along the way there will be a new trailer launched, given that the time does feel right for there to be some further big Suits scoop handed down!
