Pretty Little Liars season 7 episode 17 spoilers: Mona takes charge

Did you really think that Pretty Little Liars would end without Mona making her presence felt in a fairly significant way? Then clearly, you need to watch this show a little more closely! Janel Parrish remains an integral part of the show, and she makes it clear in the sneak peek below that she is not altogether trusting of the other Liars to get the job done when it comes to A.D. and stopping the whole operation.

Apparently, Mona does have a list of potential A.D. suspects in her head, though to be fair it includes all of the usual suspects like Jenna and Mary Drake. If it turns out to be one of these two women, isn’t the entire surprise of the show a little bit too predictable? It feels like either one of them could’ve been identified a long time ago and we could’ve just viewed the show from that lens.

Nonetheless, Mona wants to take charge on the game given that she’s got a lot of skin in the game. Namely, she is complicit in some ways in what happened to Archer and she knows it.

There are of course already a TON of interesting A.D. theories out there, whether they be as simple as that it’s Alison or as complicated as that it’s Wilden and the character has been alive for this entire time. No matter who is eventually unmasked as the character, we just hope that there is enough time spent actually explaining what happened to them in order to get them to this point. The big concern is that you’ll get a few minutes of good A.D. content in the finale, and then the rest of the episode will just be about happy endings and tying up other stuff. This is all important, but fingers crossed that the show doesn’t just save everything for the series finale and gives a little bit of news along the way.
